Gentry Park Senior Living is an existing assisted living and memory care facility of 84 units located in Orlando, FL. A venture between Buvermo and Meridian Senior Living purchased an existing AL/MC building in September 2019, and in February 2020 began development of a 90-unit independent living facility on an adjacent parcel.
Avocet Tower is a land assemblage and rezoning investment located in downtown Bethesda, Maryland. In September 2014, a venture between Buvermo and Stonebridge Carras was formed to build a new police station for Montgomery County on a nearby site in exchange for the station's prior location at 7359 Wisconsin Avenue. The venture also purchased two additional parcels and secured entitlements for a mixed-use project including a 370,000 SF trophy office building and 220 room AC by Marriott hotel. Buvermo exited the project in 2018 when it was recapitalized and construction began.
Queenstown Landing is a senior living development located in Queenstown, Maryland on Maryland's Eastern Shore. A venture between Buvermo as investor, SHA Capital Investments as developer and IntegraCare as operator closed in October 2019. The venture is developing a 75-unit assisted living and memory care facility there.
Walker Road Senior Living is a combined Assisted Living and Memory Care facility to be built in Great Falls Virginia. A venture between Buvermo as investor, Verity Commercial as developer and IntegraCare as operator closed in October 2019 to develop the 62 unit assisted living and memory care facility.
The Jamison is an apartment project located in the Fort Lincoln master planned community in Washington, DC. In August 2017, a venture formed between Buvermo, Concordia Group and Fort Lincoln New Town Corporation purchased land to build a 236 unit rental project located in Fort Lincoln, a community that includes multifamily, townhomes and retail on the eastern edge of the District of Columbia. The project finished construction in 2019 and is expected to be stabilized in mid 2020.
Flats Bethesda/Darcy Condos is a mixed use real estate project being developed by StonebridgeCarras and PN Hoffman in downtown Bethesda, Maryland. Adjacent to Bethesda Row, the project consists of an 88-unit residential condominium, a 162-unit apartment building, approximately 39,000 SF of retail space and a four story, below-grade parking garage with 960 public and 300 private spaces. Buvermo invested in the venture along with Northwestern Mutual. Construction was completed in 2016.
Petworth Safeway is a mixed-use project at the Metro stop on Georgia Avenue in the emerging DC neighborhood of Petworth. Developed by Duball, LLC with Buvermo as investor, the project consists of a 62,000 square foot Safeway grocery store, 219 rental apartments and 2 levels of below grade parking. Safeway retained ownership of the new store and the residential portion of the project was sold in 2014.
Foxhall Ridge Townhomes is a 34-unit luxury townhome project on MacArthur Boulevard in the Palisades neighborhood of Washington, DC. The site was purchased in November 2010 via a joint venture partnership of Duball LLC and Buvermo. Construction began in 2011 and the project was sold out in 2014.
The Kingsley is a mixed-use project in Old Town Alexandria which consists of a 58,000 square foot Harris Teeter grocery store, 175 rental apartments and three levels of below-grade parking. A joint venture partnership of Buchanan Partners, the Pinkard Group and Buvermo as investor purchased the site in 2010. In 2012 the venture was recapitalized to include Principal Financial Group. Construction commenced in mid-2012 and the project was completed in 2015.
Market Square Frederick is a 49 acre mixed-use land development project located in Frederick, Maryland that was developed by a JBGR/Willard and Stanford Properties with Buvermo as investor beginning in December 2008. The project includes 240,000 SF of retail space, 207 residential lots and 196 multifamily units. Home sales commenced in 2011 and in 2013 JBGR/Willard, Stanford and Buvermo refinanced the shopping center to hold as a stabilized investment. Buvermo exited the project in 2019.
Discovery Tech Center is a 150,000 square foot building in Silver Spring, Maryland that is leased by Discovery Communications, Inc. The building is two blocks from the Silver Spring Transportation Center with Metrorail, bus and commuter rail. In 2012, Buvermo co-invested with The Brick Companies, who also manages the property.
Brittany Commons is a 576-unit garden apartment community in Fredericksburg, Virginia on the I-95 corridor, 45 miles south of the Capital Beltway. In 2012, Buvermo bought an interest in an existing partnership that includes Horning Brothers who continues to manage the property. A long-term FHA loan is in place.
Avery Row is a 67-unit residential project. In June 2010, a joint venture with Insight Property Group and Buvermo purchased three existing 1950's brick apartment buildings containing 42 units on a 1.6 acre site, located in Rosslyn, Virginia. Demolition of the site began in 2011, construction was completed in March 2013 and the project was sold in April 2013.
The Village at Waugh Chapel is a 390,000 SF Safeway grocery-anchored shopping center in Crofton, Maryland, between Washington, DC and Annapolis, Maryland. The property opened in 2002 and a final phase was completed in 2009. It is the dominant grocery anchored center in its trade area. In February 2010, a venture including JBGR/Willard and Buvermo acquired the property. The property was sold in 2011.
One Bethesda Center is a Class "A" 12-story, 180,000 square foot office building built in 1986 with a 400-space underground parking garage. The property is in the center of downtown Bethesda, one block from both the Metrorail station and the restaurants and shops of Bethesda Row. In 2009, a JBG and Buvermo venture acquired the building. The property was sold in 2011.
Glenmont Crossing Apartments is a Class "B" apartment community located in Wheaton, Maryland, within walking distance to Metro. The properties, originally built in 1967 and fully renovated in 2007, contain 102 garden units and 97 townhouse units. In October 2009, a venture of Abbey Road Properties and Buvermo acquired the communities from Fairfield Residential. The property was sold in 2012.
The Reston Sheraton is a 301 room, full-service hotel located in Reston, Virginia and was the first major hotel developed in Reston when it was built in 1973. It is located adjacent to the Reston International Center office building in the center of the Reston Heights project, a 3.5 million square foot development by JBG. The hotel underwent a $12 million and $3 million renovation in 2002 and 2007, respectively. Buvermo's interest was sold in 2012.
The project is a 139,000 Class A Office building located in JBG's "Reston Heights" mixed-use development in Reston, Virginia. In 2005, a venture was formed with JBG, Rockwood, and Buvermo that acquired the land from the adjacent Sheraton Reston Hotel and funded predevelopment activities for it and an adjacent Westin Hotel. Construction began in 2005 and was substantially completed in May 2007. Buvermo's interest was sold in 2012.
